Planning approval has been granted for the reconfiguration of part of the existing The Kennet Centre to provide a dining hub located at the corner of Market Street and Cheap Street, within Newbury town centre. These proposals enhance the original cinema scheme by creating 7 new cafes and restaurants with large, glazed shopfronts facing onto Cheap Street and thereby adding a focus to the end of the popular Market Place pedestrianised quarter.
Market interest is very strong and it is hoped that at least one of the units will be trading by the end of the year.
